Therefore, <em>Private Property<\/em> will be <strong>closed as of January 5th through April 23rd, 2026<\/strong>, while our project room as well as the main exhibitions remain unchanged and open. We can\u00b4t wait to share our updated <em>Private Property<\/em> space with you in April, and thank you for your kind understanding in the meantime! Rest assured \u2013 the wait will be worthwhile![\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Helmut Newton\u2019s Private Property is a rare showcase of the photographer\u2019s personal life. It includes films that shed light on the development of \u201cNewtonian\u201d imagery, a collection of the photographer\u2019s cameras, accessories and other objects used in his photography. The famous customized <strong>Newtonmobile<\/strong> is on display, along with portions of his library and office from Monte Carlo. His numerous publications in magazines like <em>Vogue<\/em>, <em>Elle<\/em>, <em>Vanity Fair<\/em>, <em>Paris Match<\/em>, <em>Stern<\/em> and <em>Spiegel<\/em>, as well as 100 posters of Helmut Newton exhibitions from 1975 to the present document the development of his work.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The photographer\u2019s affinity for his hometown Berlin \u2013 which he was forced to leave in 1938 \u2013 is depicted in original photos from his childhood and youth. This permanent display also chronicles Newton\u2019s subsequent stops throughout his emigration up to his first fashion photo in Australia, which also feature his future wife <a href=\"https:\/\/helmut-newton-foundation.org\/en\/alice-springs\/\">June<\/a> as an actress and a model.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<a href=\"https:\/\/helmut-newton-foundation.org\/en\/private-property\/#interview\">Interview with Philippe Serieys, the former assistant of Newton<\/a>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row row_height_percent=&#8221;0&#8243;
